Professionally speaking, the soundtrack of the Lyndsey Jones story is just in its opening refrains, but the 23-year-old singer, keyboardist and songwriter conveys years of emotion through her music.
She reflects the jazz/pop influences of artists such as Norah Jones and Sara Bareilles, and transforms the lyrical and musical territory of a broad range of composers, including Van Morrison (“Moondance”), Stevie Nicks (“Landslide”) and Alicia Keys (“If I Ain’t Got You”). Lyndsey also explores newer territory of a very personal nature: Her own composition, “What a Day,” has built quite a following and is destined to be the first of many songs to mine her own unique sensibilities and sensitivities.
Her first CD, “What a Day,” is available on iTunes, CDUniverse, CDBaby, eMusic, Digstation and other digital music sites. Lyndsey also performs on tour. The story has just begun.
